"Napolean once said he could recognise the island of Corsica with his eyes shut because of the smell of these rock roses. They have sinuous roots that penetrate deep into rock crevices looking for moisture and humus. The gum they exude is used in medicine".

With the effects of global warming, our gardens seem to be dryer and hotter, these plants are built to cope with such conditions and we'll look at the methods they use to do it.
