Solution

Janette's Solution

I have decided to design this area to appeal to all of the senses, but  with a Mediterranean slant

Sound – Birdbath/ Fountain with the sound of trickling water onto the cobbles below

Sight – Colour and form of plants

Smell – Fragrant flowers and aromatic leaves

Touch – Tactile grasses

The crazy paving is to be softened by removing some pieces and planting thymes in the crevices. When walked on these will exude their aromas.

It
is always good to have humour in the garden, so the creation of a fictitious molehill will create a home to one of Barbara’s ornaments.

To break up the harsh line of the garage roof. Pots containing trailing plants, placed along the edge.

Driftwood fencing will act as an edger to the existing border.

Plan for the Gildersome makeover
