The
raised pool in the courtyard catches the evening
sun as the day draws to a close through the moon
window on the back wall. The wall is in shade
most of the day and makes an ideal spot for
growing those plants that do not like to
sunbathe – Fatshedera lizei, the fern
Dryopteris filix-mas and Solomon’s Seal:
Polygonatum x hybridum. IThe wall also provides
a climbing frame for the variegated ivy Hedera
helix ‘Goldheart’.
