This plant is Solanum crispum ‘Glasnevin’, also known as the Chilean potato tree. It is a vigorous semi-evergreen climber with no means of support needing a wall or fence for warmth but then providing a display of slightly fragrant flowers for five, sometimes eight months of the year. An excellent shrub for chalk based soils.
