One of the plants in the raised acid bed is Pieris japonica ‘White Rim’. A slow growing shrub that is suitable for growing in a pot with its leaves prettily variegated with creamy white and flushed with pink when young. It is often mistakenly named ‘Variegata’ and bears white drooping flowers earlier in the year.
